Company: Lumen Labs (“Lumen Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)
Products/Services: Lumen Dash hardware and companion software, website content, downloads, and support (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
No customer account is required to buy or use Lumen Dash. When placing orders or contacting support, you must provide accurate, up-to-date information.
We may refuse or cancel orders at our discretion (e.g., suspected fraud or errors).
Prices are shown in USD and may change at any time.
Applicable taxes and shipping are added at checkout.
We currently ship to the United States (all 48 continental states, Alaska, and Hawaii).
Title and risk of loss pass to you upon our delivery of the product to the carrier. Delivery dates are estimates only.
Pre-release, preorder, or crowdfunding items may have longer, estimated timelines and are subject to change.
We’ll communicate material changes or delays to the email you provide.
Your specific refund/transfer policy for preorders:
Before the campaign ends, you may cancel your pledge on Kickstarter for a full refund. After the campaign ends and until we announce “production lock” (via email/update), you may request a refund to the original payment method minus non-refundable payment processing fees. After production lock, pledges are non-refundable but may be transferred once to a new recipient until the address-lock date. After shipment, refunds are available for 30 days from delivery date; defective units are covered by our limited warranty. (Where required by law, additional consumer rights may apply.)
Production lock: the point at which orders enter manufacturing; we’ll announce the date by email and on our updates page.
Address lock: the cutoff for changing shipping details or transferring a preorder; announced with at least 7 days’ notice.
Payment processing fees: non-refundable third-party fees charged by our payment processor.
Warranty: see Section 5 (Returns, Exchanges & Warranty).
To request a refund or transfer before the applicable cutoff, email support@lumenlabs.app with your order number; approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. If a shipping label has been purchased, shipping charges are non-refundable.
Returns/Exchanges: You may return or exchange a Lumen Dash within 30 days of delivery. Items must be clean, undamaged, and complete with all accessories and original packaging. To start, email support@lumenlabs.app for an RMA; ship the item within 14 days of approval and include tracking. Unless the item is DOA, you pay return shipping; original shipping is non-refundable. DOA/defective on arrival reported within 14 days will be repaired or replaced at our cost (or refunded if replacement isn’t available). Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after inspection. Exclusions: modified/damaged units, missing serial labels, and items marked Final Sale. Software is licensed (not sold) and isn’t refundable on its own.

To start a return or warranty claim, contact support@lumenlabs.app with proof of purchase and a description of the issue.
Software is licensed (not sold) and covered under the separate Software License (see Section 10).
You agree not to, and not to allow others to:
Violate any law, infringe IP or privacy rights, or post unlawful/defamatory content.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to access source code except as permitted by law.
Interfere with or disrupt the Services or related networks.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
If you submit or share content (e.g., reviews, photos, videos):
You retain ownership; you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and share it to operate, promote, and improve the Services.
You represent you have all rights to grant that license and that your content does not violate others’ rights or laws.
We may remove content at our discretion.
The Services may link to third-party websites, videos (e.g., YouTube), or downloads. We’re not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
The Services, including Lumen Dash hardware design, firmware, software, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, are owned by Lumen Labs or its licensors and are protected by IP laws. Except as expressly allowed, you may not use our marks or content without prior written consent.
Use of the Lumen Dash software is governed by our Software License (EULA), which is incorporated by reference. In any conflict between these Terms and the Software License for software use, the Software License controls.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal data. Please review it carefully.
THE SERVICES (INCLUDING ALL HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, CONTENT, AND DOWNLOADS) ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant uninterrupted, timely, or error-free operation.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUMEN LABS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT.
You agree to indemnify and hold Lumen Labs and its affiliates harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party right.
We may modify or discontinue the Services at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we’ll revise the Effective Date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Sarpy County, Nebraska.
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@lumenlabs.app with: (a) your contact info, (b) the work claimed infringed, (c) the material’s location (URL), (d) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, and (e) your signature. We may remove or disable access to alleged infringing material.
